ATMA Dance offers a programme of participatory projects, workshops, associated talks and classes alongside it’s touring programme. These can be run in schools, colleges, higher eduction settings, dance agencies or alongside performances at venues both in London and on tour. All activities can be designed towards specifications. Art Talk

A facilitated discussion with Mayuri Boonham and Jeff Lowe

Join Choreographer Mayuri Boonham and Sculptor Jeff Lowe for this facilitated 20-minute post show talk in which the artists share their experience of their collaboration for the dance-sculpture-installation Erhebung.

Art to Dance

Led by Mayuri Boonham (or the company dancers)

Working in pairs to create your own 3 – 5 minute dance based on a visual stimulus and creative task given by the workshop tutor. You will be taught simple Bharata Natyam dance vocabulary and technique and rep from the Erhebung performance-installation to use as material to develop your short piece.

Art to Sculpt

Led by Jeff Lowe

An introduction to the basic tools and materials used to construct a finished design model. Participants will construct their model using a variety of paper, solder wire, glue gun and paint. You can bring your finished model home at the end of the class.
